Realme is launching two new Smartphone’s to add to its C-series. These phones are great additions to the company’s line-up of entry-level phones with great specifications. The C15 has already been launched in Indonesia and will be launched in the country on August 18 at 12:30 PM IST. The launch will happen through a virtual event. The phone was also found on the company’s support page for India, with an official tease done on the India website already.
Since the phones have already been launched in Indonesia, we can speculate that the specifications will be similar to their Indonesian counterparts.
The Indonesian version of the Realme C12 and RealmeC15 are expected to have the same processor, the MediaTek Helio, version G35. The processor has already been tested on the predecessor, the C11, and has given exceptional results. This means that these phones will have a performance similar to the C11. However, there will be upgrades in other aspects of the hardware.
The C15 is expected to be the most advanced among the phones in the C-series. This phone will come equipped with a 6000mAh battery. This is the biggest battery used in a Realme Smartphone to date. It will also come equipped with 18W Quick Charge. The battery is being called the C15’s USP, setting it apart from other phones in the C-series. The C12 is a mix of C11 and C15. It will possibly consist of the 6000mAh battery but without the 18W Quick Charge feature. The phone will come equipped with the standard 10W charging, similar to the C11.
The phone, as per earlier reports, may come with Android 10 and the Realme UI. The C12 is expected to have the same operating system.
The C15 is expected to have an HD+ display, measuring 6.5-inches. It will have a 720 x 1,600 pixels resolution and an 88.7 percent screen-to-body ratio. The C12 is expected to have a display with similar dimensions.
For cameras, the C15 is equipped with a quad-camera setup on the rear. This will mostly include a 13-megapixel camera with f/2.2 lens, an 8-megapixel camera with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.25 lens, which is the secondary camera, a 2-megapixel monochrome, and a 2-megapixel camera in black-and-white. The front panel will have a camera with 8-megapixel strength. The C12 will probably have three cameras on the rear, one 13-megapixel camera, which is the primary camera and two 2-megapixel cameras. The phone will also include a 5-megapixel camera for selfies. Both variants will also include a fingerprint recognition sensor, mostly on the back panel.
The C15 is expected to come with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The C12 is expected to come with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage.
Prices of both phones are expected to be along the lines of the prices of their counterparts in Indonesia. The C15 base model, (3GB + 64GB), is IDR 1,999,000 (roughly Rs. 10,100), while the higher (4GB + 64GB) costs IDR 2,199,000 (roughly Rs. 11,100). The top-end model of the C15 (4GB + 128GB) is IDR 2,499,000 (roughly Rs. 12,700). The C12 is at IDR 1,899,000 (roughly Rs. 9600).
The actual price and specifications will be clear during the official launch on August 18.
