The granddaughter of the legendry actor, Amitabh Bachchan, is striving to normalize the conversation around mental health with Aara Health. This is her organization.

The mission of the Aara Health Page is to encourage women to make educated and empowered choices in health. Along with Navya, this venture also includes Mallika  Sawhney, Pragya Saboo, and Ahilya Mehta.

One of the posts spoke about being independent and young women who are together to solve a common problem that has not received the attention it deserved. The different experiences and backgrounds of these four women have inspired them to help in empowering other women.

The Instagram page of the organization showed a video in which Navya spoke about her personal struggle with anxiety and how therapy helped her. This was shown on Tuesday.

She communicated with the co-founders of this organization and admitted that she was not comfortable about going for the required therapy for anxiety.

She says that the total episode of anxiety and dealing with it was new to her and she wanted to get the experience before discussing it. She admits that her family is well-aware of the fact that she is taking therapy but none of her friends are in the know of this.

She says she is not sure whether she would disclose the same to her friends. Her mother, Shweta Bachchan, found her brave and commented on this on the video.

Navya Naveli said she had taken therapy only recently as she realized that she had hit rock-bottom. She felt she had hit rock-bottom several times but could not understand the reason.

Navya Naveli realized that something needed to change. And that she needed to talk about this. This is what seemed to have helped her in seeking therapy.

She has made a routine of this therapy once in a week. She feels she is not even close to hitting the rock-bottom as she has everything well in control.

Her talking with someone has helped her identify what are the things that push her to the rock-bottom. According to her, most of the time people realize that they need to talk to someone with the mental problems they are facing, it gets too late.

Navya explains that surrounding herself with people who make her feel good and motivate her has helped her tremendously. She had faced times when she was surrounded by negative people. This had a negative impact on her life. Navya now feels that she has learned her lessons and is now going to ensure that she is surrounded by positive people.

Navya also explained how reality shows help in de-stressing and that she enjoyed ‘Indian Matchmaking’ thoroughly.

Navya Naveli Nanda is a graduate in digital technology from Fordham University. Her graduation celebration was recently organized at the family home in Mumbai. She was unable to return to the University for her Graduation Ceremony due to the ongoing pandemic.

Amitabh and Shweta have shared pictures of this ceremony celebrated at home with a robe and graduation cap made at home especially for her.
