Bollywood Mourns the death of Anil Devgan

Many Bollywood celebrities have come forward to mourn the death of Anil Devgan, brother to Bollywood actor, Ajay Devgan. Anil Devgan passed away on 5th October 2020, Monday at the age of 45. He had directed films of Ajay Devgan like ‘Blackmail’ and ‘Raju Chacha’.

Several of his colleagues from Bollywood, including Priyanka Chopra mourned the demise of this talented filmmaker of Bollywood and expressed the same on social media.

Ajay Devgan had said that there would be no prayers meet for his brother due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. He shared this sad news on social media by stating that he (Ajay) had lost his brother on Monday night and this sudden and untimely demise has left the family heartbroken. He added that he would miss his presence dearly and asked people to pray for his soul.

Priyanka Chopra remembered working with Anil Devgan in ‘Blackmail’. She posted a RIP for Anil Devgan and mentioned that this was a terrible and shocking loss. She also mentioned that she had the pleasure of working with him and that he was not only a talented director but also a wonderful human being. She extended her condolences to Ajay Devgan and Kajol and the whole family.

Another Bollywood celebrity, Sonu Sood also tweeted and called him brother. He stated that Anil Devgan was a great soul and that Sonu Sood had great memories of him during their days at the Barbarian Gym. He wished the Almighty to give strength to the family to bear the huge loss.

Karan Johar wrote to Ajay Devgan on Twitter and stated that he passes on his deepest condolences and that his thoughts and prayers were with the family.

Ritesh Deshmukh also tweeted to Ajay Devgan offering his condolences and also wished that God gives the entire Devgan family strength in the difficult times. Sidharth Malhotra also tweeted offering his condolences. You also found Boney Kapoor offering his condolences and asking for peace for his soul.

Besides the above celebrities, Bipasha Basu and Neil Nitin Mukesh along with Suneil Shetty, Abhishek Bachchan, Divya dutta and Varun Dhawan offered their condolences to the Devgan family.

Kajol shared a heartfelt note on Instagram and expressed her grief on losing her brother-in-law. She shared a picture of the pandal of Durga Puja and announced that there will be no celebrations this year. She added that she needed the blessings of Ma Durga during these difficult times.

Anil Devgan was born to Veeru Devgan and studied in the Kendriya Vidyalaya in Delhi. He had a creative mind from a very young age and was fascinated with different stories. He developed a passion for telling these. He was trained in Martial Arts and Tabla and was also an avid lover of music. He joined the film industry in the year 1989 after graduating from Bhagat Sing College in New Delhi.
