Facing monsoons can be fun if you are well-prepared for this. The weather cools down and a ‘feel-good’ factor sets in.   3. You need to concentrate on consuming seasonal fruits not only during monsoons but during any season. The specific properties of local food are healthier and offer more benefits for your overall health.
  4. Common kitchen spices are all that you need to increase your immunity. This includes turmeric, ginger, cumin, cloves, garlic, black pepper, and basil. This can be had brewed in your tea or even a water concoction.
  5. Good bacteria are essential for gut health. This means you need to include probiotics and prebiotics in your daily diet. Prebiotics are food for the probiotics. Some examples of these are garlic, apples, apple cider vinegar, and asparagus.
  6. Consume less Salt. A low salt diet is important, especially during monsoons as this can prevent any water retention and even high BP (blood pressure). Fruits like cucumber, watermelon, and musk are to be avoided as these fruits, too, can lead to water retention.
  7. Boil water before drinking it. Generally, due to the change in temperature, we tend to drink less water. This is absolutely wrong and can bring your immunity down. Ensure you consume 8 to 10 glasses of water everyday besides the healthy food.
