Akshaye Khanna’s Take on Vinod Khanna leaving his family for Osho

There were a number of celebrities globally who joined the controversial Rajneesh Ashram in the 70’s and the late filmstar, Vinod Khanna was one of them. Most of them became sworn followers of this cult and disciples of Bhagwan Rajneesh or Osho. Those who are included in this list are Mahesh Bhatt, Parveen Babi, and also the late actor, Vinod Khanna. Talking to one of the leading newspapers, Akshaye Khanna said that this father took the decision to take sanyas. This mean leaving everything including his family and this is, for sure, a life-changing decision. He admits that he did not understand this at that time since he was only five years old.

Akshaye Khanna adds that there must be something that moved him so deeply that he made the decision of leaving his family and taking sanyas. He feels that these types of decisions are made only when there is a kind of earthquake within you. This happens when you have everything in life and you feel that there is nothing more life can offer you.
